As part of the local fishing heritage, Cappy Joiner ONLY fishes in the traditional manner with live bait. The live bait method is the most eco-friendly way to fish ensuring both the safety of the tarpon, as well as the fishery as a whole. Thus, the tournaments Cappy competes in are "Tarpon Friendly" live bait tournaments supported by the Boca Grande Fishing Guides Association.

To schedule a charter for one of the tournaments listed below, please call well in advance.

Charter clients are responsible for all tournament entry fees in addition to the cost of a full-day's charter.

Captain Joiner will coordinate tournament registration, accommodations, and any other "island-side" arrangements if desired.
